Condition · IBS

Your IBS triggers aren’t random. They’re just unrecorded.

Cramping, urgency, and bloating that never quite match what you ate. Gutsphere connects meals, stress, sleep, and stool across weeks — so you stop testing one food at a time and walk into your GI appointment with the actual pattern.

Why we built this

Built by someone who spent decades without a clear answer.

Gutsphere started with a founder who has lived with GI symptoms since infancy — and learned the hard way that the record is the thing nobody hands you.

Founder note

Gut health doesn’t end when you get a diagnosis. You still need to know what changed, whether treatment is working, what to try next, and how to prevent the next flare.

Which IBS is yours?

IBS-C, IBS-D, the unpredictable mix — or no label yet

The tracking adapts to the pattern you actually live with — and holds together if your subtype shifts or the diagnosis changes.

IBS-C

Hard stools, straining, days without going

Fibre helps until it doesn’t, and you can never tell which change actually moved things.

Track IBS-C in the app
IBS-D

Urgency, loose stools, planning around bathrooms

You need the log to take two taps, because the days that matter most are the days you have nothing left.

Track IBS-D in the app
IBS-M

Both, and never in an order that makes sense

The swing itself is the pattern. It only shows up when the weeks sit next to each other.

Symptoms, but no answer that fits

IBS is a diagnosis of exclusion, and plenty of people arrive here without one. Start from the symptoms — the record holds if the label arrives, changes, or never comes.

Start from symptoms

Whatever the name becomes, your history stays with you.

Symptoms, stool, meals, tests, treatments, and questions stay connected — even if your subtype shifts or the diagnosis changes.

Why nothing has stuck

You’ve tried to track this before.

Not because you gave up — because the tools ask the most from you on the days you have the least.

The food diary you quit in week two

Photograph every meal, forget by Thursday, and still not know if it was the onions or the deadline.

The flare you were too wiped to log

The worst days are the ones that never get recorded — so they never make it into the pattern.

Ten minutes with your GI, six weeks of memory

“It’s been bad lately” is not data. You leave with the same advice and another elimination diet.

One flare, start to finish

Here's what a connected timeline actually looks like.

Follow one flare from the moment it hits to the questions you bring into your next GI appointment.

  1. Tuesday · 9:14 PM

    A rough flare hits.

You’re wiped, but logging it takes fifteen seconds: a tap, a slider, done.

  2. The Gutsphere engine

Gutsphere connects the dots for you.

The Gutsphere engine links this flare to the takeout you logged at lunch and three short nights of sleep in a row.

What changes

What you get out of it

Built for real days with IBS, not a one-time report or a guilt-driven streak app.

Stop eliminating foods one at a time

See which meals actually precede a flare — and which ones you cut for nothing.

Bring your GI a pattern, not a paragraph

A dated timeline of symptoms, stool, and triggers, ready to hand over or export.

Know what a bad week is telling you

Sleep, stress, and routine sit next to your symptoms, so a flare has context instead of blame.

Side by side

Versus the food diary you already abandoned

Honest tradeoffs, not a feature dump. A diary records. This connects what you recorded.

Radical honesty

Clear about what this is — and what it isn’t.

You have probably been promised an IBS fix before. Here is exactly what Gutsphere does and does not do.

What it isn't

  • A diagnosis, or a way to confirm that it is IBS
  • A promise to cure or fix your gut
  • A test kit, a microbiome report, or a telehealth service
  • A replacement for your doctor or dietitian

FAQs

IBS and Gutsphere

Plain answers. Non-diagnostic. Built to complement your care team.

Does Gutsphere work for IBS-C, IBS-D, and IBS-M?

Yes. Tracking covers stool consistency, urgency, straining, pain, and bloating, so it fits constipation-leaning, diarrhea-leaning, and mixed patterns. If your subtype shifts, it stays one continuous record.

Can I use it during a low-FODMAP elimination and reintroduction?

Yes, and reintroduction is where it helps most. Log each challenge alongside symptoms so you can see how you responded instead of relying on memory weeks later. Run the protocol with your dietitian — Gutsphere keeps the record, not the plan.

Will it tell me my trigger foods?

No. It shows what repeats — which meals, routines, and rough nights tend to sit near your worst days. Confirming an actual trigger or intolerance belongs with your clinician or dietitian and appropriate testing.

How long before I see a pattern?

Most patterns need a few weeks of light logging before they are worth acting on. Two to four weeks of quick daily check-ins is usually enough to have something concrete to bring to an appointment.

Do I have to log every day?

No. Gutsphere is built for low-energy use — a check-in takes seconds, and “nothing happened” days still count. Missing days does not break anything, and there are no streaks to lose.

Can I share this with my GI or dietitian?

Yes. You can bring a timeline into an appointment or export a summary. Sharing is always something you choose — nothing is sent anywhere automatically.

What if my diagnosis changes to SIBO, coeliac, or IBD?

Your history stays with you. IBS is a diagnosis of exclusion, and labels do change. Nothing you logged is lost or reset if yours does.

Is it free? Do I need a card?

You can start free on web, iOS, or Android with no card. Paid plans are cancel-anytime, and the founding annual rate of $69/year stays locked in for as long as you keep it.

Does Gutsphere diagnose or treat IBS?

No. Diagnosis and treatment belong with a qualified clinician. Gutsphere helps you organise what you experience so those conversations start with evidence.

Is my data private?

Your logs are private by default. You decide what to track, and you decide what to export or share. Your health story is not treated as content for a feed.

Fix Your Sleep, Calm Your IBS: A 14-Day Test

You've cut the trigger foods, managed the stress, and tried the supplements — and your IBS still flares without warning. The one variable most people never test is the one you repeat every single night: sleep. IBS isn't one input with one output. It's a gut–brain system running on rhythms, and sleep is the variable that quietly nudges all the others — reflux, stress hormones, hunger cues, even your microbiome. When sleep drifts, those internal clocks fall out of sync and the whole system feels it. This video shows you how to test whether sleep is actually your lever, with no lab required. A simple 14-day self-experiment, three dials you can adjust, and targeted fixes for the symptoms that wreck your nights. — Why poor sleep tonight predicts more pain, bloating, and urgency tomorrow — How your gut's internal clocks control motility, sensitivity, and microbiome activity — The 14-day self-test: a baseline week versus an optimized week — The three dials that matter most — consistency, quality, and quantity — Morning light, evening wind-down, and the sleep-efficiency target to aim for — Night-time fixes for reflux, cramps, gas, urgency, and snoring — When ongoing insomnia is worth raising with your clinician (CBT-I) — How to read your results and confirm whether sleep is truly your lever Same symptoms, different driver — when you find the right lever, you change the entire system.
